Improving Access for Walking and Biking in Lexington
The City of Lexington recently won a grant for consultant assistance to create a Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan. As a city with two universities and a walkable downtown environment, there is a readymade population eager to take advantage of safer and more comprehensive bicycle and pedestrian facilities.
We need your input to make sure we are focusing on the right areas. Use the markers and add comments to give us your input! To leave a comment, drag one of the markers on the top bar anywhere onto the map and a window will pop up for your comment:
Desired bike/walk destination: Tell us destinations where you would like to walk or bike more safely and comfortably
Desired bike improvement: Tell us about improvements you would like to see for bicycling in the future. If it is a roadway segment, place your marker anywhere on the road and tell us in the comment where you’d like to see improvements.
Desired walk improvement: Tell us about improvements you would like to see for bicycling in the future. If it is a roadway segment, place your marker anywhere on the road and tell us in the comment where you’d like to see improvements.
Safety concern: Tell us if there is safety concern for biking or walking currently that needs to be addressed.
Your comments will be used to help craft a plan for improvements in this area in the future. Note that due to local funding expectations, not all suggestions may be feasible to be funded in the near term.
